AC 315  -  International Travel Course: Comparative Business

(3.00 cr.)

The operation of business today requires that firms take an international perspective to remain competitive and profitable. Students are familiarized with key aspects of the international political, economic, and institutional environment in which firms operate. Topics covered include: how and why the world's cultures, countries, and regions differ; the economics and politics of international trade and investment; international challenges related to ethics, corporate social responsibility, and sustainability; the functions and forms of the global monetary system including exchange rates; and the strategies and structures of international businesses.  Written or electronic permission of the instructor. Offered abroad only. A fee is charged. Same course as FI 315 .

Restrictions: A cumulative 2.500 GPA or higher.
